Scott and Jennifer Sjoblom are the duo behind Engedi, each bringing their unique journey and expertise to the mat. Jennifer’s dance background, which started with ballet at age four, laid the foundation for her transition to yoga. Trained under Moscelyene Larkin Jasinski at Tulsa Ballet and later at Florida Dance Theatre, she danced professionally before teaching in Central and South Florida. Yoga entered her life as ballet was phasing out, offering a new challenge and a way to maintain the movement and breathing so integral to ballet. Jennifer cherishes the sense of community and connection fostered through yoga.
Scott, on the other hand, has a rich background in athletics and coaching, from baseball, wrestling, and cross country in his youth to running and strength training as an adult. Yoga captivated him with its physical demands, adding flexibility and muscular endurance to his fitness regime. More importantly, Scott discovered the meditative aspects of yoga, learning to find balance and peace in life’s fast pace. As a teacher, he is eager to share this sense of restored balance and introspection with his students.
