We’ve been quietly building toward this for a while, and it’s finally time to say it out loud: Aerial Yoga is coming to Engedi.
If you haven’t tried it, here’s the short version. You practice with the support of a soft fabric hammock hung from the ceiling. It holds part of your body weight, so poses that usually require years of strength or flexibility become accessible almost immediately.
- Inversions feel safer.
- Deep stretches go deeper without strain.
- And there’s a specific kind of calm that comes from being suspended a few feet off the ground that’s hard to explain until you feel it.
For newer students, the hammock is a teacher. It gives you feedback on alignment you can’t get on a mat, and it takes pressure off joints that might not be ready for certain poses yet.
For experienced practitioners, it opens up movement patterns you don’t get anywhere else, especially around the spine.
This isn’t about looking impressive doing tricks. It’s still yoga. Breath, attention, the work of being present in a body that doesn’t always want to cooperate. The hammock just changes what’s possible.
What to Expect
Classes will run in small groups so every student gets hands-on guidance from the instructor. No prior aerial experience needed. If you can get on and off a step stool, you can start here.
Each class is a 90 minute workshop. That extra time matters. It’s enough to actually learn the hammock, work through poses slowly, and still leave room to just breathe in it.
Schedule and Pricing
- Wednesdays at 10:30 AM
- Sundays at 3:30 PM
- Every other Friday at 5:45 PM, opposite Vinyasa Flow
$30 per class. Classes are live on the schedule now. You can register here.
Getting Started
Grab your spot through the app or online. Space is limited since these are small workshop-style groups, so don’t wait too long once a time works for you.
We built this space to help people move well and feel better in their bodies. This is just the next step.
See you up there.
